Founded in 1983 by retired Nassau County Detective, Roman Gomez,
we have been providing businesses, executives, and individuals
with on-site, scalable physical and mobile protective services
for the past twenty-five years.*
Today, we are still based in New York, where our recently
retired law enforcement and security professionals continue to
offer clients the wisdom, experience, and investigative skill of
a combined fifty years in the field of law enforcement.

Mr. Roman Gomez, President and
Founder
Before founding Anchor Security
in 1983, Mr. Gomez had already
achieved impressive success in
two other prestigious
security-related careers—the
first in naval intelligence, and
the second as a detective for
the Nassau County Police
Department.
Within just three years in
the NCPD, Mr. Gomez was
fast-track promoted to the
status of “detective.” His
supervisory skills and
reputation as a Spanish language
expert translated into a
twenty-five year career spent
offering leadership and
high-level support to various
divisions in both state and
local government. These included
the vice and homicide squads and
the district attorney’s office.
Mr. Gomez’s superior work
efforts were continuously
praised in numerous “Letters of
Merit” and other commendations.
Mr. Gomez received
significant tactical security
and intelligence training from
the United States Navy and also
the F.B.I., where he is
certified in three
concentrations—finger prints,
interrogation, and evidence
gathering. He is also a public
speaker and instructor,
educating officers, guards, and
other security personnel via in
service training sessions and
seminars.
Mr. Melvin Boone, Vice President and
Managing Partner
Mr. Boone
came to Anchor Security with an
impressive twenty year career as a
police officer and then detective
for the Nassau County Police
Department. As an NCPD detective,
Mr. Boone spent fourteen years
serving in the Narcotics Vice
Bureau, conducting wiretaps,
coordinating with various federal
agencies, and investigating unlawful
narcotics, weapons, and pornography
sales. Concurrently, he served on
the Hostage Negotiations Team for
four years, the Human Trafficking
Taskforce for two years, and
previously on the Narcotics
Enforcement team.
In 2000, Mr. Boone’s security
experience led to the founding of
M2K Protection Services. This
springboard to joining Anchor
Security provided cooperate and
entertainment clients and their
families with a range of personal
protective solutions.
Mr. Boone is a member of multiple
community and professional
organizations, and serves as a fire
district commissioner for the
community of Lakeview. He has
received service awards from the
NAACP and Drug Enforcement
Association, among others.
Mr. Boone is certified as both a
New York state police instructor and
expert court witness. He earned his
BA in Sociology from Adelphi
University.
